Edgewood Consulting Group is a sales and marketing strategy and analytics consultancy that works with consumer packaged goods manufacturers and retailers.

B How we get in touch with people

We contact professionals whose work relates to the services we provide.

  • We write to people at companies where their role connects to our work, using their work email address.

  • We reach out only when we believe our work could be relevant to the person's role and company.
  • When someone asks us to stop, we stop.

We keep business information, not details of anyone's private life.

  • Information about the company, such as its industry, size and the categories it sells in.
  • Public business activity, such as job postings, news coverage and public posts.
  • The results of checks that tell us whether a work email address can receive mail.
  • Our correspondence with you and the notes we make about it.
  • Website visits: this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our host keeps standard technical logs, and the font service that supplies the typeface receives your IP address when a page loads.
  • We do not collect sensitive information, such as health, financial account or government identification details.

We gather it from a small set of sources.

  • Public sources: company websites, job boards, news outlets and professional networking profiles.
  • Commercial providers of business contact and company data.
  • You, when you reply to us, complete a form or speak with us.

We use the information only for the purposes listed here.

  • To decide whether our work is likely to be relevant to a person and their company.
  • To contact people at work about our services.
  • To check that a work email address is valid before we write to it.
  • To answer replies and, if you ask, to discuss or provide our services.

F How to stop our emails

Stopping takes one reply, in whatever words you like.

  • Reply to any email from us, or tell the person who calls you, that you want no further contact.
  • We act on the request promptly, and always within 10 business days.
  • We keep your name and email address on a do-not-contact list so that you are not contacted again, whatever source your details later reach us from.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' marketing or for targeted advertising.

  • Service providers who act on our behalf, such as our email and mailbox services, address verification services, business data providers, and hosting and storage providers. They may use the information only to provide those services to us.

We keep information only while it serves a purpose.

  • Prospect records are kept while they remain useful, and outdated records are removed.
